Criminal Cases in Hardee County Courts
The Circuit Court of Florida, Tenth Judicial Circuit, has general jurisdiction over Hardee County felony cases. Hardee County Court hears misdemeanors and criminal traffic. Both courts operate from the Hardee County Courthouse at 417 West Main Street in Wauchula. The Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller maintains the dockets, charging papers, orders, judgments, sentences, and public images for both divisions.

Hardee Civitek Public Gateway
The clerk directs online users to the Civitek Online Court Records Search. Its landing page offers Public, Attorney, Registered User, and Party Access modes. The anonymous public tier gives access to eligible indexes, dockets, and some nonconfidential images. A notarized agreement supports broader, role-based registered access, but it does not override Florida's confidentiality rules.
A missing image does not prove that the case or document is sealed. It may be outside the public image matrix, archived, or available only as a clerk copy. Keep the case number and docket entry date so staff can identify the exact item.
How to Search Case Records
Use a case number when available because it is the safest exact locator. A name search can work, but spelling, middle names, and a filing-date range help separate similar results. Static research could not pass Civitek's JavaScript gateway, so field labels should be checked on the live form rather than assumed.

Closed Does Not Mean Convicted
Case status is an administrative label. A closed Hardee County case may contain a guilty judgment, but it may also end through dismissal, nolle prosequi, or acquittal. An adjudication withheld is also different from each of those outcomes. The disposition tied to each charge is the key field.

Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, specified victim and minor information, juvenile records, and sealed material may be hidden or redacted.
When Civitek shows a docket but not an image, note the entry date and ask the clerk whether a public copy can be produced. Public and registered access differ, yet neither tier provides confidential material. A signed redaction request must identify the statutory category and exact record locator.
